After practising Yoga and meditation for over 16 years, I decided to become a Astanaga Yoga teacher learning from the source. I did my yoga teacher training in India in 2012. My master, Lalit Kumar, was initiated by Swami Veda Bharti the disciple of His Holiness Swami Rama of the Himalayas.
My teaching style blends traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Hatha yoga with Iyengar alignment techniques. I place a strong focus on to physical adjustments to improve alignment through a precise yet dynamic practice.
I enjoy teaching both group and private classes.
Yoga to me is an important tool to achieve physical and mental wellbeing. It’s more than just exercise. It’s about learning to meditate and concentrate in the present moment. It’s about having healthy eating habits and being kind with ourselves and others. Yoga is about harmony, internally an in our environment.
My training in India included Anatomy, Ayurveda, Pranayama, Yoga Asana, Meditation, Yin Yoga, Adjustments, Alignment, Modifications and Yoga philosophy.
I am a creative and driven person, with excellent observation skills and a passion for communications.
A teacher needs to be adaptive. Each day students enter the classroom in different moods. One needs to be able to help establish a harmonious mood in the classroom.
As students enter the yoga studio they will always be reminded that they are there for their own practise. There is no competition in Yoga, but introspection, love and compassion for oneself.
You might wonder why my yoga brand name is CheYoga. There are two reasons for this: ‘Che’ , as in Che Guevara, is a friendly way Argentineans use to call each other – Argentina is my homeland; the second reason is because this is the Yoga revolution!
Adopting Yoga will bring no end of benefits to your life and the lives of those around you.
