Chair yoga classes are fun and effective workouts that can be done in a chair to gain mobility and strength as well as to energise yourself.
It’s an ideal class for office workers; people that haven’t got room to roll out a yoga mat; and anyone that might be recovering from injuries or have difficulties with some movements. Yoga can meet you just where you are!
In Yoga, we address the body and mind as a whole. Geny will share her knowledge of anatomy and alignment so that each area in the body can be targeted. She will also guide you through breathing exercises and meditation.
A 30 -minute chair yoga session can give similar results of doing a much longer workout.
You’ll need: A chair without arms A computer with a camera and speakers Comfortable and adequate clothing A yoga strap and a yoga block will be ideal to have too but not essential.
This class is suitable for anyone, young or old, fully able or with special requirements.
Most of the class will be conducted seated. There will be some standing postures where the chair will act as a very helpful prop.
