Yoga takes place twice daily in one of the two yoga shalas
The open yoga shala overlooks the pomegranate field and has space for up to 25 yoga mats.
Our second yoga shala is enclosed on all sides by bamboo screening.
The shade provided by the bamboo screening in both yoga shalas allows the air to circulate whilst keeping out the heat of the sun.
There is a day mid-holiday with no yoga so we may venture further afield on excursions such as the 12 Island Boat Trip, or just spend the day relaxing by the pool.
There is also a treehouse which is perfect for meditation.
The Lodges Hotel, Dalyan, Turkey
This yoga hotel is charming.
The swimming pool has a small waterfall
There is a Turkish tree house where students can relax and a small bar beside the pool which also serves snacks.
Dalyan village is situated on the small river that joins the lake to the sea.
This small yoga hotel is in the conservation area between the village and the beach.
Small buses will stop outside the hotel entrance every half hour taking you on the ten-minute picturesque route to the beach.
You can also reach Iztutu Beach by taking one of the many riverboats from the village (15 15-minute walk).
Iztutu beach is big, very beautiful and within the national park. There are no buildings other than a cafe at each end with changing huts and sunbeds – it is a conservation area with extremely strict access rules to protect the turtles which nest there.
Besides visiting the beach we can also arrange a variety of trips. There are also hot springs, mud baths and a huge lake to explore – its a very beautiful region.
You can also take a fantastic day out is the Twelve Island Boat Trip.
On Saturday mornings there is a large market in Dalyan village selling local produce, spices, fabrics etc.
We can also arrange boat trips with barbeque lunches and a visit to a very old Haman (Turkish bath).
If you are interested in history there is the ancient city of Kaunas on the other side of the river or travel further afield to the Ghost Town at Kayaköy which is exactly as it was when the Greeks left Turkey to return to Greece in 1922.
The hotel has 16 rooms, a swimming pool, a bar and a restaurant. Massages are available
All the rooms have air conditioning and en-suite facilities complete with a hair dryer on the wall.
Downstairs Suites: downstairs rooms have a separate bedroom at the rear, en-suite facilities and air conditioning.
Each also has a small lounge and a third bed can be placed here if groups of students wish to share to further reduce the cost.
Outside each room is a wooden deck with a wooden table and two chairs.
Upstairs Rooms: the airy upstairs rooms are ‘attic style’ with sloping ceilings at one end.
Each has a small outdoor space with limited views, en-suite facilities and full air conditioning.
Annexe
These are 3 rooms on one side of the hotel overlooking the lawn.
Two are superior with a bedroom, and a small lounge and one is a standard room and does not have a lounge.
All rooms are en-suite with air conditioning
Breakfast and dinner are served in the hotel restaurant. You can purchase lunchtime snacks and refreshments from the pool bar. Daily breakfast plus 5 evening meals are included in the cost of the holiday – extra evening meals are available on-site if you wish, however, local restaurants are terrific and we do recommend you try them.
The large Turkish breakfast will be served after the morning yoga class and an evening meal on the arrival night and 4 other evenings. If the group wishes to eat more meals on site this is easily arranged for a small extra fee. The food is typically Turkish vegetarian, a wide variety, well prepared and scrumptious.
A lunch menu is available.
Food will be vegetarian unless we request otherwise – vegetables are grown as much as possible in the hotel’s vegetable field.
Fish is readily available in this area and can be ordered at breakfast for an extra cost payable directly to the hotel. The price will be determined by the choice of the fish at the fishmongers, the hotel will tell you which options are available and likely prices.

I will be interested in one single room upstairs please.
I am also planning to arrive 2 or 3 days earlier depending on flights schedule. Would it be possible to get the same room for the whole length of the retreat. Thank you
Hello Momo! Sorry I didn’t see this message. I think you are all sorted now.
Looking forward to it!
