Yoga day Festival by the sea

On August 27th we are getting together as a yoga community to celebrate the  Summer season, make new friends and create an experience we will remember and want to repeat time and time again.

The Yoga day Festival will be held in Westgate-on-sea (WoS), a small seaside town in Kent, near Margate. In just over an hour’s drive from SE London, you can be breathing the sea air, enjoy its vast open spaces, relax and feel rejuvenated!

In just over an hour from SE London, you can be breathing the sea air, enjoying its vast open spaces, relaxing and feeling rejuvenated!

You will learn about your unique make-up according to the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. We will also explore useful tips on what’s best to eat and do for the incoming summer season and we are going to rejuvenate our bodies by burning away what’s no longer needed by doing a Fire inspired yoga class. We will have a water inspired class at the end of the day, to cool you down and you will fully relax with a yin yoga and Yoga Nidra meditation.

Take the opportunity to immerse yourself in these healing surroundings.

  • Feel part of a welcoming community and make new friends.
  • Surprise yourself with what you are able to achieve in the Summer Solstice Challenge.
  • Experience the joy of healthy nutritious seasonal meals.
  • Leave the day feeling in harmony with nature and yourself.

Having attended Geny’s classes at “Virgin Active” and on zoom during “lockdown” I can highly recommend her. The location at Westgate on Sea is perfect with easy, no pay parking and a clean beach perfect for relaxation, meditation, stretches and even Yoga flow if it takes your fancy.
I have attended “Walking Yoga” activities with Geny and also the day retreat last year with Geny and Emma. Altogether a wonderful experience and so much more fun than a stuffy studio.
Geny is a wonderful, charismatic teacher with her knowledge extending way beyond postures and flow. She has a keen desire for onward learning
and ensuring that others do the same. She is an Ayurvedic practitioner and has healing hands.
I am looking forward to the solstice challenge and to meeting others in the group.
