A New Chapter for Our Wednesday Yoga Classes 🌿
Our Wednesday evening yoga classes are moving to a beautiful new space—W.G. Grace Community Centre in SE9. From Wednesday 23rd April, we’ll be meeting here weekly.
These Wednesday classes have always been a space to pause, reset, and reconnect—not just with your body, but with yourself. Whether you’ve been coming for a while or are curious about starting (or returning to) yoga, this is an open invitation to step onto the mat and be met exactly where you are.
Each session is part of a four-week journey, with a thoughtfully crafted sequence that gently builds week by week. The idea is to give you enough structure to feel progress, while still allowing room for exploration and rest.
Embracing Spring: A Walking Meditation for the Equinox
I love celebrating the change of seasons, following nature’s rhythms as Ayurveda suggests. The Spring Equinox is a time of balance—a moment when day and night are equal, marking the shift from winter’s stillness to spring’s awakening. Nature is waking up, and so are we. In Ayurveda, spring is linked to Kapha dosha, a combination of earth and water. After

Embark on a Journey of Healing and Transformation with Yoga Nidra: Golden Light and the Gayatri Mantra
We Don’t See Things as They Are; We See Them as We Are
In yoga philosophy, avidya represents the misperception that arises when we fail to see reality clearly. Our minds cling to illusions or false understandings, leading us away from the truth and into cycles of dissatisfaction or conflict.

Activate Your Lymphatic System with Yoga
Unlike your heart, the lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump—it relies on muscle movement and deep breathing to keep things flowing. Without regular stimulation, it can become sluggish, leading to fatigue, swelling, or a weakened immune system.
Anti-Desk Yoga: Stretch, Strengthen, and Relieve Back Pain
Why Does Sitting Hurt So Much?
Sitting for extended periods compresses your lower back, stiffens your hips, and rounds your shoulders forward. Over time, this can lead to chronic pain, poor posture, and even decreased productivity.
Find Your Calm: The Power of Mindful Breathing
Nadi Shodhana, or alternate nostril breathing, a Yogic technique designed to balance the body and mind. Its effects are subtle yet profound, helping you cultivate calm, clarity, and a sense of groundedness.

Allow these intentions to arise naturally, without judgment or expectation. I'm sharing here a Yoga Nidra meditation, 'Summer Solstice Slumber', to help you tune into the energies of this new season.
Purity and impurity live within us
Indeed, the concepts of purity and impurity are often associated with the human experience. They can be understood in various contexts, such as morality, spirituality, and personal growth. Let's explore these concepts further. Purity generally refers to a state of being untainted, uncontaminated, or free from moral, physical, or spiritual flaws. It often implies a sense of cleanliness, integrity, and

Thrive in the new season, Day 7
In the seven days Thrive in the new season program, I have shared seven different practices to prepare you for the change of season and help you thrive.
Do you want to find your own? Read on…
Thrive in the new season – Day 6
Cleansing our homes, workplaces and bodies is an essential part of getting ready for a change of season. This cleanse is not just a matter of scrubbing off things, but it’s also a mental process, letting go of clutter and unneeded things, habits, etc.
In this Krya Yoga class, we cleanse the body through breath and sound to activate the chakras.
Day 5 – Reboot your senses
When we take the time to observe our senses quietly, we are welcomed into the here and now of the present moment. Through the five senses, we can navigate our way through this life.
Day 4 – Bottling up some of the summer
It’s such fun making jams and chutneys. Peter, my partner, was my glamorous assistant in the video below.
Day 3 – Thrive in the new season
By journaling or simply writing down our thoughts, we get a chance to observe what’s working and what isn’t and what we need to do to find a new sense of balance if we’ve lost it.
Day 2 – Thrive in the new season
On day 2 of our seasonal change program, we sat down and did a candle gazing meditation.
Day 1 – Thrive in the new season
Day 1 – Thrive in the new season program. A gentle and grounding Yoga class. Your yoga practice doesn’t need to be a vigorous asana session. Think about balance, so it can be a Yin-Yang type of class.
How to get ready for the Autumn
Autumn is coming, and we can get ready to enjoy it to the full. Grow with the seasonal energy – don’t fighting against it
Yoga Nidra to find a sense of space within
In this Yoga Nidra meditation, you will find space within and discover its full potential.
According to Ayurveda, space, or Akash, is the most delicate element of nature. It is believed by Ayurveda that Akash, or space, was the first element to come into existence.
