Serene Seaside Retreat in Margate

A yoga, ayurveda and meditation retreat is a getaway or program that allows participants to immerse themselves in yoga and meditation practices in a tranquil and supportive environment.

To experience the benefits of a retreat, you don’t have to go abroad or far away.

I’m organising a Serene Seaside Retreat in Margate, Kent on the last week of August 2023. (28th-31st August)

Margate is a lovely coastal town, with lots of things to see and do and it’s just over an hour’s drive from SE London and easy access by train from Victoria, St Pancras and Bromley South.

The retreat house has a dedicated Yoga studio, modern rooms and it even has a hot tub!

Get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life!

The main goals of this yoga, ayurveda and meditation retreat are to provide participants with a holistic experience focused on physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Shared accommodation £495

A few people have asked whether they could come for one or two days, and some local people would also like to participate but stay at their homes. So, if you are interested in taking a day pass (for as many days as you like), you can.

  • 10:30 – Brunch

  • Dance Workshop with Anna (optional extra)
  • 17:00-18:00 Yoga (on the beach weather permitting)
  • Free time – there are fantastic places to have dinner in Margate

Wednesday – August 30th

  • 7:30  Fruits and teas
  • 8:00 Meditation
  • 8:30 – 10:00 Yoga
  • 10:30 – Brunch
  • Free time
  • Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga with Angela (optional extra)
  • 17:00-18:00 Yoga (on the beach weather permitting)
  • 19:30 Dinner at the house

Thursday – August 31st

  • 7:30  Fruits and teas
  • 8:00 Meditation
  • 9:00 – 11:00 Yoga – Closing Ceremony
  • 12:00 – Brunch/Lunch
  • 14:00 – Departure

What to do in your free time?

  • Paddleboarding – a lesson can be arranged and/or a Yoga paddleboarding class
  • Roller skating at Dreamland
  • Visit Margate’s Shell Grotto
  • Visit the Turner Gallery
  • Old town antics and more!
  • Broadstairs is only a skip away with wonderful ice creams, bandstand concerts and lots of shopping to be done.

Special events at the retreat

August 29th – 1-2 pm Elemental Rhythmic Goddess Workshop.

Channel your inner Goddess to hypnotic rhythms that release the soul, guided by the wonderful Anna Symes.

You can even do this dance class as a drop-in, it’s only £15. Book it with Anna here.

August 30th – afternoon – Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga with Angela (it’s weather dependent).
