The Yoga Lab: Sun Salutations – June 20th
Rather than simply moving through Sun Salutations as a repeated sequence, this workshop takes a closer look at the structure and purpose behind the practice. By slowing things down and examining each stage individually, participants will gain a clearer understanding of how the sequence works and how it can support a more confident and sustainable yoga practice.
In this two-hour Yoga Lab workshop, we’ll slow things down and break Surya Namaskar apart step by step. Together we’ll explore how the sequence is built, why each movement matters and how breath, transitions and alignment work together to create a practice that feels more natural and easeful.

We’ll explore:
• How the sequence is built
• Why each movement matters
• Breath and rhythm
• Transitions and alignment
• Common mistakes and adaptations
• How small changes can improve confidence and flow
This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of Sun Salutations and move beyond repetition into a more mindful practice.
The aim is not to make yoga more complicated. It is actually the opposite. Once you understand the mechanics behind the sequence, practice often becomes simpler, calmer and much easier to remember.
