Yin Yoga – Restorative Yoga – David Lloyd Sidcup

Yin yoga is a slow, meditative style of yoga that focuses on deep stretches and long-held poses. Unlike more dynamic forms of yoga, Yin targets the connective tissues—ligaments, tendons, and fascia—rather than the muscles. Poses typically hold for 3 to 5 minutes or longer, allowing for deeper relaxation and increased flexibility.

Yin yoga is calming and introspective, encouraging practitioners to focus on their breath and cultivate mindfulness. Similar to acupuncture, it promotes energy flow through the body’s meridian system, making it a practice that balances the physical and energetic body.
