Yoga for School Staff – Tuesdays
It’s easy to overlook our own needs amidst the daily demands of teaching, planning, and supporting our students. That’s why I’m excited to share an opportunity that can help you prioritise your physical and mental health: our FREE Yoga classes offered right here at Colfe’s.
Whether you’re looking to ease stress, improve flexibility, or take a moment to breathe, these classes are designed to meet you where you are, regardless of experience.
Why Yoga?
1. Physical Health: Yoga is a wonderful way to stretch out muscles, increase flexibility, and strengthen your body. Whether you’re seated at a desk all day or on your feet in the classroom, yoga can counterbalance the physical strains we often experience. Regular practice can also improve posture, reduce chronic pain, and enhance overall physical resilience.
2. Mental Clarity and Calm: The mindfulness aspect of yoga is incredibly powerful. As educators, our minds are always juggling multiple tasks. Yoga provides a dedicated time to step away from the noise, helping to clear your mind, reduce stress, and improve focus. Many find that the relaxation techniques learned in yoga also aid in better sleep and a greater sense of inner peace.
3. Emotional Well-Being: Yoga is not just about the body—it’s about connecting with yourself on a deeper level. Through intentional movement and breath, yoga fosters emotional resilience, helping you manage anxiety, build patience, and cultivate a positive mindset.

Why Participate?

If you’ve been curious about yoga or simply looking for a way to unwind after a long day, I encourage you to give it a try. Remember, there’s no need for previous experience- all you need to bring is yourself and an open mind.
I look forward to seeing you on the mat and sharing this journey toward better health and well-being.
