Yoga Nidra, often called “yogic sleep,” is a deeply relaxing, guided meditation practice that induces a state between wakefulness and sleep. It promotes deep rest and healing by bringing the body and mind into a state of conscious relaxation. Practitioners lie comfortably in Savasana (corpse pose) while a teacher or recording guides them through a series of stages, including:

  1. Body Scan: Awareness of different body parts to release physical tension.
  2. Breath Awareness: Focusing on natural breathing to calm the nervous system.
  3. Visualization: Using mental imagery to access deeper layers of the mind.
  4. Sankalpa (Intention): Setting a positive affirmation or personal intention for growth or healing.
