Ujjayi Pranayama – Ocean Breath

Ujjayi Pranayama (breath regulating technique) is a soft, whispering breath which you’ll also hear called ocean breath – or Darth Veda breathing ;o)

The little snoring-like sound happens when the glottis is voluntarily closed and the air that passes through creates this shooting warming sound.

During your Yoga practice, it’s recommended that you use Ujjayi breathing, activating your throat banda, to help with concentration and keep the energy within the body.
