Ayurveda: Ancient Wisdom for modern living – 13:45 – 14:45, August 7th, Studio 4

This talk will provide an introduction to Ayurveda and how it can apply to each person, depending on their unique making.

As human beings, we are pure potential. We are a universe in ourselves, a manifestation of the cosmos and the divine. As such we are capable of live life to the full in perfect health and harmony.

Ayurveda is a 5,000 years-old science that encourages a mindfulness approach to health and wellbeing. Ayurveda teachings help the healthy person to maintain health, and the diseased person to regain health.

The way to achieve each individual ideal balance is by learning about their own unique body type and how adjustments on the day to day diet and lifestyle can result in an amazing improvement. One of the aims of Ayurveda is to help the body eliminate or neutralise the toxins that cause diseases.

There are five approaches towards optimal health:

  • Meditation
  • Yoga
  • Diet and lifestyle
  • Massage treatments and
  • Herbs

The practise of Ayurveda is designed to promote human happiness, health and creative growth.
