Every change of season provides us with an opportunity to set new intentions, have a little ritual and celebrate nature changes and our own.
This workshop was in preparation for the winter solstice yoga challenge (scheduled for December 20th), we run through some variations of sun salutations and how to count them for the 108 Sun Salutes.
In this workshop I also shared some wonderful tips from Ayurveda to keep in mind as we move into the winter season.
After the Q&A, we built a candle altar that you can use for Sunday 20th.
An old tradition for this time of the year is to light candles. The candles, which were needed in the old days to provide light, also symbolizes the return of the sun in the coming months.
If didn’t to make it for the workshop, you can still practice with the video below, and get stronger on your sun salutations, ready for the 108 Sun Salutations challenge, winter solstice on December 20th!
Let me know how you get on with it. It’s only a 20 minutes practice of Sun Salutation A and Sun Salutation B. We won’t use the B that for the challenge but it’s a good training for the body.
